About Tags

Tags are identifiers you can attach to your files. They are used to indicate which media items Connect must select for processing and delivery through package templates and jobs. You can also use tags to link files together.

Creating a Tag

To create a new tag, perform the following steps:

1. Open the Tags menu.

   

2. Select New Tag. The Create new Tag page is displayed.

   

3. Enter a relevant name.

4. Select the File Type.

   • Select Audio for all audio files.
   • Select Timed Text for caption files.
   • Select Composition for CPL files.
   • Select Image for image essence files.
   • Select Media Container for flat files.
   • Select Metadata for metadata sets.

5. Select Save. Your tag is created and displayed.
